Hmm, I thing being helpful is a personality trait that may have no clear link with being successful or unsuccessful, however, successful people would be most likely helpful & they would show readiness to assist others whenever they can since they don't want anything to undermine their success, while on the other hand, unsuccessful people may give a limit assistance under some certain conditions.
