What is loss adjuster?

When the insurance company handling large claim may appoint loss adjuster to examine the causes of the loss or damage and to consider the claim under the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

After the investigation has been considered , the loss adjuster make recommendation as to weather the loss  should be settled or rejected .

The loss adjuster must negotiate a settlement directly with the insured ( the policy holder ) .

In practice it is very common that the insurance company and the insured (the policy holder ) accept and follow the adjuster's recommendations for completion of the claim and reaching to final settlement.
