What a candidate can say/do in an interview to assure hiring manager that he/she is the best fit for the job in a competent market?

My opinion for the question,

Directly saying I'm fit for this position makes over confident or your fake highness but sometimes work if someone believe in you,

The best way is at the time of interview showing your skills from your words of answers should reveal you're fit for this position,
