I have Note2 GT-N7105 LTE ( android version4.1.2) and I am trying to upgrade my android version to4.2.X is this possible and how

As of now there is no update from company. It is being expected that instead of going for4.2 Samsung will try to give update of latest4.3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note2 international LTE version with the model number GT-N7105 was released in late2012, and recently received an official Android4.4.2 KitKat firmware update with the build number N7105XXUFND3. The firmware update is the first KitKat build for the Galaxy Note2 LTE, which was previously running on Android4.3 Jelly Bean. Galaxy Note2 owners who have updated to the latest Android OS - either manually or via an OTA update -- would likely have lost their root access, but their devices can be re-rooted or rooted for the first time using famed XDA developer Chainfire's CF-Auto-Root.
There is no official update of4.2 for Galaxy Note II. But still you may find it over XDA developers.

Since Samsung plan to upgrade to Android4.3, But I don't recommond upgrading4.2 from an external source.
