If you are an auditor in the team audit and during auditing process according ISO 9001:2008 you found a major nonconformity what you should to do?

I should raise a nonconformity report as per the ISO: standard and ask for corrective actions. I might share some ideas for an effective corrective action as an advice and not compulsory to follow it.
