How do you motivate your students for increase the creativity their own learning?

Motivation could be both internal and external. I would begin by externally motivating them by connecting whatever it is i need to teach them with something they love doing or a game they love playing, etc and rewarding them when they do achieve the goals they are meant to, eventually i hope to be able to cut back on the rewards so that they may be able to do it on their own and gain a sense of self worth through their achievements...
