How to manage the obsolescence of equipments and systems in LNG industry?

As obsolescence is inevitable, a systematic management approach must be employed, similar to that of a PPM schedule for any piece of equipment. Such as system should include current equipment status reviews, alternative and/or design reviews, hardware reviews and possible overhaul of current equipment.

By having such a strategy in place, you are able to control the issue of obsolescence as opposed to succumbing to it.
