Is it possible to conduct Radiographic testing on piping under service conditions in a natural gas processing facility? If no, what to do then?

As medical radiographer, must tell you that this is not question from the Health speciality.

 I have no relevant experience with radiography in oil and gas industry, but I think there's  possibility. X-ray tube and other necessary equipment will not ignite sparkles, or fire. But, there must be enough free space arround tested pipes to make adequate images.
