To play the sound or music across multiple slides in PowerPoint2000:
Open the presentation.
On the Insert menu, point Movies and Sounds, and then click Sound from a collection of sound files, CD tracks, or record sound.
After inserting the media (audio), select the object and choose multimedia animation in the menu Slideshow menu.
In the Animation dialog box, click the Sync tab, and verify that the selected media object.
Click the Options button on the Multimedia tab and select Play using animation order check box. After selecting some additional options become available.
By default, pause the slideshow options selected. This option allows you to stop the presentation before the completion of audio playback or until additional next slide. For playback on several slides, you must click to select the option to continue the slide show. After selecting the parameters for Stop Playing become available.
