Job Overview
The Business Development Specialist (B2B) is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to drive company growth and achieve revenue targets. This role involves market research, strategic planning, relationship building, and sales management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to assess potential business opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve sales and revenue goals.
- Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, social media, and attending industry events.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals to prospective clients or partners.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure new business deals.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update a sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting future revenue.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and finance to align business development efforts with company goals.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Customer Feedback: Gather and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and refine business development strategies.
