It all depends on the personality of the child. Some children of divorce end up less independent and blaming their parents on their situation. But it should be mentioned that the children of "tough situations" tend to be more independent than others.

The behavior of independence It is influenced by family relationship Divorce Also influenced by other factors It is the nature and style of educational socialization

Children with divorced parents do not differ with those children of married parents with regard to independence because it all depends on the understanding of the child regarding his or her environment and how the child handles the situation, based of course on the guidance of a parent or both parents.

it depends on many factors.The prime factor can be the lack of affection and look after from your assigned  caretaker.Some children may even switch to some job at early age if their assigned caretaker is either financially weak or offers reluctant financial support.Even if the assigned care taker is very loving , i believe still the child of divorcees will be accelerating towards being independent at quite comparative fast speed then the child of non-divorced.
