If the job requires extensive travelling at regular intervals, YES you need to prefer males.
If you are hiring a sales & marketing personnel for a female fashion outlet, YES you need to prefer females. etc etc. and the list is so long.
I think NO. Now a days we see that females are getting their way in every field of work, and even they produve good results.

it highly depends on the nature of duties required during marketing or sales, as most of the sales work requires intensive travelling, so its hard enough ( not impossible) for females to cope up, as far as taking part in making marketing stretegies job is more or even highly suitable for females. as girls during their studies proved to be real book bugs than guys n they memorise whatever been taught more gentally.
Yes. There are some products which are Gender Linked because of Cultural / Society & Market Requirements . These will not change so easily -it might first change to online from Direct Traditional Marketing . But , the necessity of gender linked might not change even then . And it is gone like this from ages & will go like this for generations .
