What entry will be posted when you deposit cash in the bank?

Dr.Bank Account

 

Cr. Where this cash is coming from. If from company cash, Cr. Cash. If from a customer Cr. Receivables. etc.

Bank Debit

A/R Credit

its call credit in account 

If your transaction is to place your cash on hand to your company's bank account, the entry should be: Dr. Cash in Bank Cr. Cash on hand While, there should be an entry upon receiving this cash: e.g. Dr. Cash on hand Cr.Accounts Receivable :)

Dr. Bank

Cr. what ever account it comes from
