The basis of the IMS Operations Support System (OSS) software application is inventory / asset management. Both active and passive networks can be managed in the system, keeping track of the physical and logical inventory data.

The network inventory is being used by other functionalities available in the system, such as Network Planning, Capacity Management, Impact Analysis, Workflow, Trouble Tickets, Warehouse and Spares Management.3G.4G network are LTE.
