Medium Terms contract at the early stage of the career & then after age of +45 certainly a long term contract is the option (my perspective)

Long term contracts will allow me to plan for my family future with more secure, knowing that i will be able to go on with my plans with confidence due to insuring that i have a stable income and job, also long term contracts will allow finding another job easily, in my opinion, as long as i stay in the same job and expending my experience in it, i will be able to be hired by a different companies.

In fact my answer will be (both), but it's depend on the each contract benefits individually. Also the advantages of contract define what is my choice and how much I can gain more experience. What is more important is that it be a position where I can utilize and improve my skills. What is the environment that will be more suitable for me.

Both are fine and can be equally rewarding, it really depends on too many factors to sum up here. Also, if you prove yourself short-term contracts can be pro-longed and long-term contracts usually contain (or allow for adding) a clause for early termination.

In case of good confidence the short term contract will be automatic renew for same period several times. same as presidential election extended periods4x4 till reach30-40 years in president position.

 

On the other hand, the long term contract may be quit off at any time as a result of contractor's willing or contractee's willing with the legal notice period.

 

That means nothing will give the security for job continuity untill Allah's support.

 

Whatever the opportunity you have gain, go through it and don't hesitate. It will be the best for you.

Short term always has high compensation basics and long term has extended allowances and promises.
