by inserting the USB of a total station for transfering data, during process chose dxf file just what nadhmi said, it automatically open as autocad in your computer.

select data that you are copying and press control C to copy the data you are transferring from autocad or the clipboard in autocad choose select the Edit/ paste special..that's it..

  1. In Excel, select the data area you want to copy.
  2. Press Ctrl+C to copy the data to the Clipboard.
  3. In AutoCAD, choose Edit | Paste Special | AutoCAD Entities.
  4. Click OK.

hi, it depend on what is the data if it is points coordinates and description you can just save it as csv comma delimited file then insert it to autocad(Civil3D) , or use older answers to if another typre of data
