Panel interview is most effective because it has collection of behavior questions, situational questions and stress questions. All members are puting rates for the answers and at the end it comes with % for every candidate. Just like in Gem Games in Olympics; there is a commette rating every part with mark.

 

I never heard about situational interview or stress interview. I think you mean questions

In initial round we have a combination of structured and un-structed questions and on Clarence of first round when candidates is being asked for2nd interview then we go for panel interview for Assistant Manager and above positions. For executive and officer level we don’t go for panel interview. In past, for managerial and above position we did psychometric testing to assess the candidate personality and various testing so that right decision could be made and  it works perfectly.

I'll go for panel interview, since it involves a combination of different panelists' evaluation. It also eliminates any bias because the evaluation will be coming from a panel of different qualified interviewers, and not only from one person.

I'll throw in the casual interview.

This makes the candidate feel more relaxed and at ease. Most interviews hide the candidates true personality and to me that is a major part of the person I am looking for.

It's depend on the industry of the organisation and the position you want to fill , some position you need to make a structured interview with the candidates to know their skills, and sometimes you need to make a panel interview with the line manager because he is the only one who know the technical side of the position So every kind of the interviews has a reason

Even in panel interviews, the judges reach in to a consensus, before they put it in the interview reports, mainly based on the feedback from the direct manager whom the selected candidate will be reporting to.
