What you prefer, a person having high academic background or less qualifications but master of handling critical situations with success stories?

If I have to choose in same condition I will choose less qualifications but master of handling critical situations with success stories and if he sustain I will make arrangement for training and development for him   

Because qualification can acquire but experiences of tree take long time to grow aside attitude cannot acquire it develop with experience
