What is a Photoshop Script?

A script is a series of commands that tells Photoshop to perform a set of specified actions, such as applying different filters to selections in an open document.

Scripts or Action Scripts is a save command or steps you perform in Photoshop. This is useful if you doing the same steps all over.

 

For example when you’re editing a photo you always start with the following steps:

1.       1. Duplicate Photo

2.       2.  Hide the Original Photo

3.       3. Apply Auto Brightness

4.       4. Apply Auto Contrast

5.       5. Apply Auto Level

 

In order to make your life easier. You can create an Action Scrip save and assign a Hotkey for example F4. Now every time you edit a photo instead of doing the same steps all over again you only need to press F4 to apply the script or steps.
