Hi, I would like to know what are the qualities required for an outsider to pursue a career in banking in UAE?

I just have some banking experiance and knowledge in accountancy and book keeping and other aspects of finance. For being a marketing executive working in financial products I think an Mba or PGDBA would do. But I do not reside in UAE. I think the best person to answer the question would be some one who has worked in the banking sector in the Gulf region. I think MR Muhammed salim Allana , MR Fazal Ebrahim Dawood ,Mr Mohammed Iqbal Abubaker ,Mr Rehan Qureshi could give you a better answer as they have vast experiance in this region.
