connect requirements with test allows you to know how much your tests cover on your requiremnts, and it allows you to know which test to run when a change on specific requirments occures. connect requiremnts with code, allows you know the effect of code changes on your requiremnst and which tests you should run due to that change.

The main core value of tracing a requirement to different artifact in SDLC are as follows. 1) Allows test to know your requirement. 2)Allows you to know which test to run when a change on specific requirement occurs. 3) Allows you to know the effect of code changes on your requirement and the test you should run due to changes.
