What is the meaning of vocational training?

Vocational means occupational. When we say Vocational training we mean a non academic training to achieve skill in an occupation to adopt it as a career. Previously it was known as Tehnical training but now it is more broadened and is inclusive to Accountancy, Hospitality, Nursing etc. 

vocational training is a type of training that is mainly involved helping the trainee to acquire skills such as dress making and cooking.

Vocational training is the type of training that emphasizes skills and knowledge required for a particular job function or a trade.

Vocational education is an education which prepares people for specific trades and careers of various levels or a professional position (e.g. Nursery, Medicine, Law...)

vocational education is connected with trades .It qualifies to a job that is made by hand.In Egypt , it is connected with technical education.

vocational training or education also involves handicraft (region wise) skills,,, to ehance your capacity and knowledge for specified trade

vocational training is types of skills derive from special training based on capability , skills and interest of man. 

Vocational training can also be called polytechnic training.  This type of training prepares the trainee to learn and acquire skills sets for specific job requirements or careers (i.e., welding, electronics, robotics, mining, construction, automotive, etc.).  Qualified graduates can earn a certificate (for1 year of training) or a diploma (for2 years of training) and enables to graduates to enter the work force immediately. diploma. Most polytechnic institutions now offer4 year degree courses in nursing, accountancy, business, computing and academic studies, engineering.   .

It is training directed at the end job and is very spesific to the job you want to do in the end.
