In SCADA what are the terms included as a 'Data Acquisition'?

It includes the Scada Server Data Base like OPC, SQL, DE etc..that maintain Data Base fetching information from controllers from the field and sending back using different interfaces and these Data Base can be access by scada software to design the process.
