As a teacher, How do you connect your lessons to the “real world”?

By reading articles from newspapers and magazines,listening to the news from TV world wide broadcasters, and of course with the help of social media.

By using examples from real life, Facebook, Twitter, TV and newpaper are perfect sources for this approach.

I often use the net to deepen what our books ( all interactive) suggest to the students, newspapers and also other collegues tests especially the ones which are related to specific subjects that then I have to teach in English. In Italy students at the exit exam of the last year, in secondary school, must show a speaking competence in English in at least2 subjects among the ones studied. That's my job!!!
