Internal Audit Activity collectively must posses certain competencies ? Kindly elaborate?

I believe, what IIA requires from audit as a department is that they should collectively must possess such capabilities as a team, to ensure that tasks are performed as per standards. However, members within the team can have specialiazation in different areas of expertise.

If any one or more member of the entire team is having specialization for that particular task, it satisfies the criteria for that engagement.
