GNU is free unix like OS made by GNU project consist of completely free softwares (GPL), as far as GNU/Linux concerned Linux Kernel Made by GNU Project known as.

Like : REDHAT Linux, SUSE Linux, Ubuntu Linux etc....

GNU has adopted the UNIX-like kernel which is Linux, developed by Linus Torvalds .

GNU has added free software and utilities developed worldwide to Linux kernel to come up with the great GNU Linux Operating System.
