How do you create a fail-proof strategy?

reaching a zero level status is impossible. yet establishing a strategy on basis of well structured planning, assessment and continually maintained and improved controls maybe a perfect solution to eliminate the chances of failure

I would say, creating a fool proof strategy is like creating a standard and trying to imitate it. In preparing a strategy, they are no completely right nor completely wrong answers. Their are numerous ways to deal with the strategy level planning.

What is a project strategy?

Conceptually, we define the strategy critical success factors and define the key performance measures for each critical success factor to manage the strategy's performance. On the other hand, alternative scenariors (or strategies) are defined while strategic planning and these are the ones to proceed with if the original strategy implementation failed.
