An investment company is a company whose main business is holding securities of other companies purely for investment purposes

An investment firm will typically invest its client's money on stocks, bond, commodities, rare metals and real estate market. However, only few large investment firm provides investment services on all the market, most of the investment firm provides investment services on the stocks and bond market.
