At first, be aware of your students. Observe and act on the spot. Souting is not the best option but sometimes may alert more talkative students. Be vigilant, if anything happens moderate your voice to quiet and wait for the class to observe. If the conflict arises make short and not personal statements, do not take students behaviour personally. Act strongly, persistetly or seek immediae help from your senior. If students do not want to work, change the activity into something different but mildly entertaining. And most of all be attentive and fair. You can always give a concession but try to make it in your own way - out of3 homeworks give a choice of one.

The best way to deal with such students who don't show an acknowledged normal behaviour is the effective use of extra curricular activities. I observed during my career that these students are least interested in studies but are most interested in games, dramas, speeches, singing etc.

Through these activities we can get closer to them and gradually motivate them by counselling to improve in studies. It is my experience that such an attitude is encouraging for these students and they come on track slowly.
