Failure positively - We will find out our weaknesses and the areas we need to improve.
Opposition positively - We will find out how strong we are and determine how mature we are.
Refusal positively - We will find out what the shortcomings of our convincing ability are and work out ways to improve ourselves on this point.
Criticism positively - As long as it is constructive and encouraging, we can re-work the areas that needs improvement and come out strong ultimately.

Refusal :--> Be patient and try another ways. and some sommunication skills + your network of supporter at your department / company.
Criticism: --> As long as it is a positive criticism and in decent way, it is welcome to be criticized. it is a golden opportunity to be evaluated / enhance your skills and get further step but maybe in a hard way.
