هل توافق على أن يكون مديرك أصغر منك في السن؟
.Well, Professionalism* makes it possible specially if your sub-specialty is very rare in the same field
(طغيان المهنة )*
Yes Mahmud it happens sometimes if someone who has done MBA/ Engineering or higher education from a premium institute and have less experience join as senior in company people who are edler than them would be slowly climbing ladder up. Luckily I never had such sitaution alll my managers were elder to me. But some people surely face such situations.
age isn't a factor, competency and qualifications are more important.
Age isn't the milestone all times,
If he is better than me, and he deserved this position.
then I will do my best to aquire from his experience and skills, in order to develop mine
I don't see a problem in that. Do you?
Age is not a scale of efficiency or ability, I do not see any harm on that, especially if he is a competent, more experienced and greater efficiency. Otherwise, it will have a negative impact on the work env.
Yes, if he has sufficient skills and experience.
Yes , I don't have any problem in that
Yes, no problem in that if he has perfect skills and enough experience to that position.
it does happen of course, but as a professional as you are, you have to forget about age difference and look at the boss as you are even. He has been placed on mentioned position because he has knowledge, skills and perhaps vast experience in the field, which surely qualifies him to be your boss. you have to respect that. don't try to be friends, be professional and put more of your effort in the work. for me, it would be just a stimulation for better and more hard work, to show better results on my position. if he could do it, well maybe you can as well. perhaps your promotion after all is not that far away!
Of course, for me that would be a motivation to challenge myself and do my best on my field.
