Does a company logo change require a material disclosable event?

yes of course, they must disclose it and make advertisment for the customers to know, also the logo is the sole property of the company, so even to change it they must make sure that the new one is not already used by another company , otherwise they will be subject to court prosecutions

Added to that,  in my country for example, laws require to register it, pay fees  and display it in official journal/ newspaper
