I read an article about a woman waking from a coma after years. How can she live normally with the physical therapy and how come that her nervous system is still working?
For an individual who has woken up from a coma after 27 years, extensive care by a Multidisciplinary team would be necessary. Such an individual would have a hard time assuming her normal biological and psychological functions and thereby would require a team of professionals for her help including but not limited to:
