As an employer, do you hire people similar to you? Do you agree with the phrase" Don't recruit yourself" and why ?

No.If we recruit the same or similar person there is no new thing we think.Both ideas will be same.If we get new ideas new thoughts will come then only we can improve our organisation.ðð¼

It's one of the biggest mistakes if as an employer you employee /hire similar to you if they are not qualified for the position, but if they are qualified you can hire them with limitation to avoid nepotism. Hiring people of different cultures brings a lot of competitiveness, people from different places bring diverse skills which can help the company grow.

There are two espects of this phrase if you are hiring a person like you, so it would be easy for you to handle him but on the other side you have to hire a new mind who will bring some enovative ideas. 

Depending on the needs and requirements of the job, so if I have the mentioned qualifications and they fit in the organizational culture and corporate values then sure I will hire people like me, if not I will go with don’t recruit yourself
