If a representative of the company made a statement to the press that was a big PR mistake, how can the company recover form that?
Accepting and apologising at at earliest. Then exhibiting earnestness to correct the mistake, free of cost
The representative himself should make an apology of the mistake the moment he discovered that & he should be clear why the mistake happened without taking a defensive stand. Besides, if the PR statement was about a wrong action that took place inside the company, the revised statement should indicate the steps that will be taken to rectify the situation. Always be honest & transparent.
If it is mistake then accept is and say sory It is the best way to recover. Explanations and aurgoments creat embagvity. Be clear and honest you will never fail.
