Measuring Internal Communication effectiveness in organization needs to be linked to the business goals. to add value to the business and be viewed as a strategic business partner you need to align closely to the organizations objectives.

However, in each of these organisations, one needs to design and firm up a communication & escalation plan.

This plan needs to be enforced initially which, over a period of time will become a culture.

Listed below are a few tips which should be embedded/enforced along with the above plans:

1. No lengthy emails, set a maximum line limit.

2. No Issues/Risk should be open beyond2 days

3. Sort out Issues/Risk over the phone or by means of face to face discussions

4. Make Everyone accountable for any Issue/Risk within his/her hierarchy

5. Encourage anonymous whistle blowing 

6. Monitor the performance of the above strategy and evolve as required
