As a mother, how can you know the reason behind your child hating the school so much?

I am not a mother but as a teacher the classic examples I have come across are the fact that the child feigns illness or really gets ill often. There maybe incidence of unwarranted crying or complaining or tantruming just before or after school. Wetting the bed is also one the classic symptoms that there is some sort of fear. This is the extent of my experience and feel that when mothers encounter any of these they should be taken as warning signs that all is not well and they should investigate further. 

As a parent, develop a cosy relationship with your child. Be your child's best friend, one he/she feels free to share with anything  and everything. Once the relationship between you and your child is at that level, you can be sure that the child will always share what goes on in his/her life. In addition you will be able to understand how to approach the child and the answers you expect to get with which approach. You will also be able to tell when the child is lying or telling the truth, when he/she is OK or not. Other than that, always keep in touch with the teacher at school for feedback since they spend more time with your child. Whenever there is a problem with the teacher, sought it out with him/her in the absence of the child. Do not discuss the teacher negatively with your child or in his  presence as this impacts negatively on the child's attitude to the school.

NB: The present day parent has delegated parenting duties to other people and do not even know their own children. We are busy chasing career, work, education and other social responsibilities at the expense of family. This is the major reason why most parents are not appreciated by their children.
