What should be basic design consideration required to design the multistorey structures for fresher?

The basic design consideration and on which all the building is designed is the load calculations inlcuding all types of loads DL, LL, WL and seismic load etc.

By calculating  the required loads according to the required codes, all other structural elements will be decided accordingly like

1- Foundation type

2- Columns' sizes

3- Slab type

4- Beams types when requires

5- shear walls

6- staircase thicknesses etc

1.Structure and Structural Members should have adequate strength, stiffness and toughness to ensure proper functioning during service life.
