Not required for the analyst but may be useful for the business owner, stakeholder or customer in some cases but not always.

Yes, you'd need to know things like process flowcharts, different methodologies and understand some software or language such as SQL or Tableau which can be displayed to the user.

Yes! In my opinion it is one of the main tool for any business analyst because without visualization you can't imagine or even see how your prediction will going to see. For the user who uses Python or know about Python they can simply use Pandas,Matplotlib,Seaborn,Geoplotlib etc. Packages to visualize their data.

Data analysis and data visualization both are the integral part of business development. Both must effectively used for the better acievement of your goals.

To have the right understanding of the data you need to know the data flow through all business units  this will come from business analysis 

To have a robust dashboard and meaningful visualization you need to gather all requirement by business analysis technics 

when we apply data analysis on a certain model it give us visualized data which helps us better analyze the bussiness. so both are required
