What is the difference between SAP ERP and Oracle ERP?

SAP was initially an ERP product focused on business modules like finance,retail,sales etc and then human relationship management, customer relationship management.supply relationship management etc. However, it acquired Business Objects which was a business intelligence solution and made a good space in this area as well. SAP had no database of its own but used Oracle,Microsoft SQL server,IBM DB2, Informix,Teradata,Sybase etc.Later on,it acquired Sybase and had now database of its own. It also came up with its own in house database product called HANA which is in-memory database for fast retrieval of real time data.

sap is a market leader in providing ERP Solutions and services.

Oracle ERP is also market leader but small variation is there that is design phase. that's it.
