What do most of the employers look for: an aspirant with solid years of experience or a candidate with diverse experience?

on the employer's side, they wanted most of the time those job seekers with solid years of experience, but for me it will definitely give a shot if the employer chose the candidate with diverse experience- being flexible is a skill, experience is earned through learning/teachings
