How can a company’s management structure affect the communication flow?

The Project Manager can't deal with all the issues across the organisation.
Project Board members can then use their influence and contacts to help achieve outcomes.
When the Board and the PM work well together, the Board will help the PM reach and influence decision makers...

Dear All, I do believe question was; how can a company’s management structure affect the communication flow? My opinion: there is many factors affecting the communication flow such as the management style, company leadership characteristics, industry type, company head count, number of layers, and the communication policy and related procedures.

Definately company structure is very important aspect for communication flow within or outside the company. Escalations and respective experts for coaching, work authorization and mentoring help the project success.

Also power to lead, support and deliver project within time, cost and scope is essential for sucess. If it is not in a way then project may lead towards failure.

To many layers between the top mangmnet and starter emplyee , could affect communication .
because with each layer of insulation, communication becomes a little less clear.

A Company may or can be structured in different ways, depending on the needs of its business. Its how a company opts to organize it's management structure is extremely important, as organizational structure has a multifaceted impact on the bottom line of the business & its profit. This becomes even clearer if you look at the specific areas affected by the organizational structure viz -  communication, discipline, retention and efficiency.
