What is the best type of vfd or motor drive?

It depends on what application do you need (Motor Power, Motor Voltage, Motor Maximum Current)          so you need to ask yourself first about this requirements. after you select power,voltage,current you now come to the price. Danfoss, ABB, SIEMENS are very good drives however, the price is not cheap. there are drives that are of less value but, do a good job like Omron, Lenze.

There are also special drives for Servo Motors ELAU (Scheider), Rexroth.
