In geometry, the tesseract is the four-dimensional analog of the cube; the tesseract is to the cube as the cube is to the square. Just as the surface of the cube consists of six square faces, the hypersurface of the tesseract consists of eight cubical cells. The tesseract is one of the six convex regular 4-polytopes.

The tesseract is also called an 8-cell, C8, (regular) octachoron, octahedroid, cubic prism, and tetracube (although this last term can also mean a polycube made of four cubes). It is the four-dimensional hypercube, or 4-cube as a part of the dimensional family of hypercubes or "measure polytopes".

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word tesseract was coined and first used in 1888 by Charles Howard Hinton in his book A New Era of Thought, from the Greek τέσσερεις ακτίνες (téssereis aktines, "four rays"), referring to the four lines from each vertex to other vertices.[3] In this publication, as well as some of Hinton's later work, the word was occasionally spelled "tessaract".

What is cube to the square, that is tesseract to the cube.

Square - 4 sides, 1 face, 4 angles

Cube - 6 sides, 6 faces, 8 space angles.

Cube we get when we translate square plane, tesseract we get when we translate one cube in all directions. In first step, we get one cube and 6 pyramids.

In physics the fourth dimension is the time dimension. It shows both the space and the time evolution of an object. The tesseract in fact shows the evolution of a 3-D cube over time.

Thank you for the invitation

But I am a civil engineer and not a specialist

Where he needs to dig deeper into science or physics

I am pleased and pleased to follow up on the answer because this is a very important topic

It is the proof of the existence of the fourth dimension because it is known so far is the three dimensions (length, width and depth)

Good luck

Hi Miss Dana, and thanks for the question, in Mathematics (Geometry it is related to the four dimentional diagrams, for an example a cube in another cube), but in a general speaking the Tesseract in science it goes to the science fiction that could lead to reality in the future, as we found technologies in the old science fiction movies they lead scientists and researchers to make them real, and these became inspiring movies

Tesseract is the term used for a set of "Cubes" in 4 dimensional space.

Like a cube is a set of  4 Squares in 3 Dimensional space,  a tesseract is a set of 8 Cubes in 4 Dimensional space.

All the sides of a tesseracts are equal in length, like a cube or a square.

There are 4 edges in a Square, 12 edges in a cube and a tesseract has 32 edges.

Do not try to imagine it. Humans brains are equipped to deal with only 3 Dimensions, we can we can see a shadow of tesseract in 3D like we can draw a cube on paper. But geometrically its incorrect as the angles and length of sides can't match.

Thanks for inviting me

this question is not related with my experties.......
