When shopping for a group health insurance policy for your company's employees, is it better to let them all under the same conditions and limits?

In comparison to keeping the executives and upper management on higher limits (as an incentive or benefit), and the rest of the employees on a regular policy.

Yes, because: a. there must be a group of people to be insured who have something in common other than the purpose of obtaining insurance b. to save administrative costs, there is often a Master Policy Holder who will retain the documentation on behalf of the members, and may deal with the members on behalf of the insurer c. Such covers are typically available at a discount to the respective individual rates, as administration and expected claims costs are lower.

Personally, I believe it's extremely simplier to handle with standard conditions for every employees.

This solution shuould implies lower insurance premiums (for economy of scale principle), lower effort from HR to manage them throught other employees and moreover (why not?) the possibility to ask to the insurance company, an Ad Hoc policy, fit and property for your company needs.

It is related to the organizational culture and the leadership style. Personally, l prefer the unified benefits policy.

Yes. I strongly agree with that. Every employee is part of same family so every one should have same cover.

Just like we wouldn't offer the same salary to all employees - similarly - we can't offer all of them the same class of medical cover. It is a cost to the company and must be based on the position and grade of each employee!

I'd have a strong tendency for one stanadrd contract. Though there might be well meant reason to diffentiate, it often leads to bureaucracy, more administrative costs and also discussions about the reasons for differences. I'd prefer a keep it simple strategy.
