Most of time we are using MS Excel as main documentation tool. 

Data entry before posting  in ERP

Generate reports and extract from ERP and transferring to Excel format

Sometimes you have to adjust the report which is printed former system either by adding or deleting data to make a good report especially in this case you have to convert the report to excel sheet.
