There are some exotic jobs for which you get paid well too like for e.g - a food taster, wine tasting, food anchor, travel jockey
so these jobs you travel, you meet new people stay in luxury places as you write or report about them so i guess its in your ambition what you like to do
but sometimes its not easy to get such jobs or what you like to do so people settle for little less or do sacrifice as growth is important in any field
