Thanks for your question. I think the smart work is not enough to reach the success. Presently most of smart work in competition with each other to reach specific goals in the various fields and sectors. One of them by hard work and persevere with several shots of the failures until some progress  got in his efforts to reach specific objectives in the Business or in Research or technique development ---etc.

No I dont think it is always true.

 

I know people who are very successful, but have had to work very hard to be successful. A very successful tiler for example, who collects BMW's but works very long hours and he is in his's and hasnt had a holiday in years.

 

On the other hand I know some very smart people who started their own business, but didn't continue to work hard at it and failed. a flash in the pan....

 

I think you will find that the very most successful people you can think of are both hardworking, and work smart. Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, Richard Branson. They also know failure.And all know great success, and all work very hard too.

 

To be truly successful you need to be a little bit of both.
