Amazon will definitely transform the way we purchase. You can definitely expect a lot of brick & mortar shops to shut down, atleast here in the UAE they would give major retailers a run for their money.

Amazon has dominated the west and the east, now the region which is still in its ecommerce infancy would be the Middle East. Currently the ecommerce market is fragmented, Souq was the biggest player acquiring them has already gotten Amazon 50% market share in online shopping here.

Souq.com will be more trusted online shopping site. I said so, because I had a bad experience. the other benefit Amazon will give more description on items they sell.
