I am an educator, a school principal. When I am hiring, especially in a new school, I want to hire a combination of new teachers and veteran teachers. New teachers will need mentors to teach them classroom management techniques, best practices, and assist them with peer evaluations. New teachers are also helpful with technology and fresh ideas. Students also respond better to new teachers and have more in common with them. They also keep older teachers regenerated. Older teachers are the backbone of any school, and we need them lead the way if they haven't lost their spark and their enthusiasm for new ideas.

Age cannot not be an issue, and should never be mentioned in the first place as restriction to disqualify experience fresh staff.

In contrast the physical strength and ability of that individual should be taking in consideration when recruiting staff in general.

Hi - Yes age is an issue - I am finding this as I am this year and though I have much experience I feel that my age is impacting on my opportunity - but I dont think it should be

in fact employers should see it as experienced asset opportunity

No age should not be an issue , experience and the ability to add value should be key
